Drosophila Signaling Networks

Characterizing the extent and logic of signaling networks is essential to understanding specificity in cell fate decisions, mechanisms of oncogenesis, and resistance to chemotherapy. We initial effort generated a large, integrated network around the canonical RTK/Ras/ERK signaling pathway in Drosophila by using tandem affinity purification/mass spectrometry protein-protein interaction mapping. We are extending this effort to dissect other signaling pathways, such as, Insulin, Hippo, JAK-STAT, and so on.
